Granny opens the door to my knock, and smiles brightly at the bouquet that I picked for her.
"Such sweet little buds. They will look perfect on my kitchen table!"
She carefully gives them a fresh cut and arranges them in her favourite vase.
"The city is getting more unbearable by the day, Granny," I say with a sigh, sipping the lemon pine needle tea that Granny had brewing on the stove when I arrived. "I had to get out of there today."
Granny smiles sadly. "If only they knew.
Well, at least we can play our part!
I harvested a fresh batch of seeds just this morning."
